Volunteer Opportunities -
COVID-19 Response
We are currently accepting volunteers for vaccinators, support staff and contact tracers. If you meet the requirements below, please send your completed Volunteer Information Form to COVID19Volunteers@cchealth.org. The full application and training process may take up to two weeks.
Requirements for Vaccinators

Current license: RN, LVN, EMT, DDS, PharmD or MD

Complete a background check and submit a TB Test (provided by Contra Costa County)

Complete mandatory online trainings: COVID-19 Vaccine Training (ca.gov)

Be available to volunteer 24 hours per week, Tuesday through Saturday.

Candidates must be able to work at all the sites and have reliable transportation. Various locations throughout the county (Concord, San Ramon, Antioch, Richmond).
Requirements for Support Staff

Complete a background check and submit a TB Test (provided by Contra Costa County)

Volunteers required hours: 24 to 40 per week, 4 to 8 hours shifts daily.

Operational days: Monday thru Sunday, 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., evenings might be available February - June

Typical Tasks:
- Assists with site set up and takedown at the beginning and end of day
- Assists with traffic monitoring
- Assist with verification of appointment and identification
- Assist in the delivery of supplies
- Assist with prepping materials for clinics and vaccination sites
- And, other duties as assigned.
Requirements for Contact Tracers

All volunteers must be a minimum of 16 years of age

Commit to 6 months of volunteering; 20 hours per week, including weekends

Complete a background check and submit a TB Test (provided by Contra Costa County)

Participate in a 3-week online training
COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund
In response to the current public health crisis, Contra Costa Regional Health Foundation has launched a COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund.
This fund will support our region’s medical community, workforce development, food distribution and access, emergency financial assistance, and more.
NOTE: Due to overwhelming response, we are temporarily closing volunteer applications. We will begin accepting new applications on March 15, 2021. Thank you for your interest.
